A Dynamic Surface Metal‐Organic Framework Electrocatalyst: Potential‐Driven Activation of Atomically Defined Au Sites for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

Operando EC-STM and DFT study of a surface metal-organic framework on Au(111), showing how cathodic polarization reorganizes the framework and creates low-coordination gold sites that enhance hydrogen evolution.
